A good parallel story for blown-eyed blodgeland. Sorry so brief. The kids are gone this weekend to their dad’s, but I unfortunately, am having to work. Looks kinda rainy this morning, so I’m thinking my yard will continue to take over.
Went on the Scientist’s field trip yesterday. It was to celebrate the finally of Frog & Toad week. We took a bus out to the historic YO Ranch. Went on a tadpole hunt, and holy moley, did we strike gold. You would have thought they stocked the pond. Would there be any reason to do such a thing? Me thinks it was merely the only water source for miles, but check it~mini picture post:

Holder…that is soooper blecccch-y. Ay, I think they’re really cute – I am totally down with reptiles, and even got to hold a gigantor snake recently, which was creepy, but kinda neat. The person whose left thumb is featured prominently in the bottom photo…whoa…that is a *serious* scar right there.

My daughter would go absolutely nuts doing something like that. We went to a seafood restaurant yesterday, and she spent most of her time in front of the lobster and crab tanks. In the afternoons, now that the weather has finally turned, she spends most of her time feeding ants, digging for worms, and holding doodlebugs. She also hunts for spiders. We’re talking about a five-year-old girl here. We might have a biologist on our hands.

Jourdan (my daughter) has some in her room in a bowl. She caught them in the creek after the rain Saturday.
Of course I just learned this today.
Paul, sounds like your daughter and mine would get along perfectly!
